TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Bandung Regency which adjacent to Cimahi City does not only offer vacation sites around Lembang. There are various tourist destinations in the hometown of former rocker star, now Muslim cleric, Hari Moekti.
Here are seven tourism destinations around Cimahi and West Bandung that worth to visit:
1. The Lodge Maribaya
Located at Jl. Maribaya Timur, Cibodas, Lembang, West Bandung, the Lodge Maribaya recently become a public highlight among tourists. Particularly during weekend or peak holiday season, the line to enter the site can last for hours. However, it is worthed to visit considering Lodge Maribaya has many interesting places for taking photos, let alone its pine forest across Maribaya hills.
2. Curug Cimahi (Cimahi Waterfall)
Located in tourism route at Jl. Kolonel Matsuri, West Bandung, it is easy to find Curug Cimahi. Visitors must go down 500 stairs to reach the place which also known as Curug Pelangi (rainbow waterfall). While those who only willing to enjoy the view of this 87-meter waterfall can sit on two provided deck before the site. On the night, tourists will see colorful lights around the waterfall.
3. Dusun Bambu (Bamboo Village)
The village is located near Curug Cimahi. There are many typical natural views of Lembang. One of them is a traditional restaurant (saung) around the lake which is the favorite photo spot for tourists.
4. Curug Tilu (Tilu Waterfall)
The waterfall is also located at Jl. Kapten Matsuri, particularly at Ciwangun Indah Camp, Parongpong, near Villa Istana Bunga. Tilu is Sundanese language means three and that means tourists can find three small waterfalls on the way to Curug Tilu.
5. Stone Park
Taman Batu or Stone Park is quite far from those above tourism destinations. Located in 5 km away from the central city of Padalarang, the park is the mountain of limestones in Gunung Masigit village, Cipatat, West Bandung regency. The stone in Pawon hills that lies 900 meters above sea level in two hectares areas is known as Stone Park.
6. Gua Pawon (Pawon Cave)
The cave also located in Gunung Masigit village, near the Stone Park. The cave is popular among archeologist for saving ancient human bones, old furniture, and stones which estimated in the age of thousand years. The length of the cave is 36 meters with 16 meters in width.
7. Sanghyang Heuleut
This tourist destination is a small lake which surrounded by stones. Sanghyang Heuleut is part of Citarum Purba and located in Rajamandala Kulon, Cipatat, West Bandung.
