Police Wait for Forensic Laboratory Results on Cause of PRJ Fire

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Police are still waiting for the results of the forensic laboratory test to see the cause of the fire at Niaga Building located in Jakarta Fair area or PRJ in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, June 5.
“We have done the investigation. Next, let the forensic laboratory assess it,” said Jakarta Police spokesman Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono in the National Monument, on Wednesday, June 6.
In addition, the police also have not been able to review the loss caused by the fire. According to Argo, the police need expert information to assess it. “There is the expert witness who will decide,” said Argo.
Central Jakarta Police Chief Sr. Comr. Roma Hutajulu said the fire in the area of Jakarta Fair Exhibition (PRJ) did not interfere with the Jakarta Fair event. Because the burned building is an empty building.
“There is no Jakarta Fair activity in this building,” Roma said after reviewing the location of the fire, on Tuesday.
According to Roma, the building was still under construction when it was on fire.
