TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Legal practitioner Ruhut Sitompul said that it is fair for Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok to file for a judicial review in his two-year sentence. Ruhut reasons that the former Jakarta Governor was not guilty in the blasphemy case.
“There is no religious blasphemy,” Ruhut said, Thursday, February 22. “It's wrong for anyone to say he's insulting religion,” he said.

Ruhut argued that Ahok actually became a victim of the judge's verdict. He considered the judge did not dare to decide that Ahok was innocent. Based on the judges’ mistake, Ahok, therefore, filed for a judicial review, which Ruhut views as a proper thing.
Ahok submitted the judicial review on February 2 to the Supreme Court through North Jakarta District Court.
Josefina Agatha Syukur, Ahok's lawyer, said it was based on the facts which were missed in the first-degree court. One of the them is about the different use of the article in the prosecutor's charges with the article used by the judges.
