GMF to Pay for Soekarno-Hatta Landslide Victim Medical Bills

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Garuda Maintenance Facility (GMF) AeroAsia will fully pay the medical bills of two victims of the landslide that happened at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s underpass.
GMF AeroAsia VP corporate secretary M Arif Faisal said in Tangerang, Tuesday that the two victims are the company’s employees. Dianti Diah Ayu Cahyani Putri is a permanet employee on while Mukhmainna Syamsuddin is an outsourced worker.

"For the victim who died, we will also provide compensation later to the people she is survived by,” he said.
Putri and Mukhmainna were driving home from work when 20-meters of walls retainings the underpass collapsed. Burying the car.
Putri (24) was evacuated at pukul 03:00 after being buried in the rubble for 10 hours. She was rushed to the Tangerang general Hospital before being taken to Mayapada Hospital. She died at 06:47, Jakarta time.
Meanwhile, Mukhmainna (24) was evacuated later at 07:00, Tuesday, after being buried inside the landslide for 14 hours. She was taken to the Siloam Karawaci Hospital.

"The management deeply regrets this accident. We are grieving,” Arif said.
He also expressed his thanks to everyone who helped with the evacuation process, including the Basarnas, Angkasa Pura II, the police, and the civilians who were there at the time.
