TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) was having difficulty when evacuating Mutmainah, the second victim of the landslide at South Perimeter Underpass of Soekarno Hatta Airport.

Her position made her hard to pull out from the car wreckage, which got buried under pile of concrete and soil. Her lower body was wedged by the iron bar that housed the car's safety belt.

Head of Basarnas M. Syaugi said that his team had rescued Gianti, the first victim, at 2:50 pm, but having difficulty when rescuing Mutmainah.

To remove Mutmainah, Basarnas had to cut the iron that wedge her belly. During the rescue, the rescue team gave her moral support so she remained conscious and able to communicate well. Basarnas also ensured that Mutmainah had enough oxygen and foods to maintain her body fluids.

Basarnas had used hydraulic jet and crane to lift up the landslide wreckage. However, both devices were not able to lift the 20 tons weight, so it was done manually by shovel and pickaxes.

Finally, Mutmainah had been successfully evacuated at around 07:00 am in the morning, on Tuesday, February 6. Mutmainah was directly taken to Tangerang Hospital for further check-up.
