INASGOC Reopens Registration for 2018 Asian Games Volunteers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2018 Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC), reopened the online registration for volunteers through www.volunteer.asiangames2018.id.
"The target is 13,000 volunteers for the Games Times," said Inasgoc Chairman Erick Thohir in Jakarta, Thursday, January 18.
The needs of volunteers for the Games Times are 13,000 people. As many as 11,000 volunteers will be posted in Jakarta and 2,000 volunteers will be posted in Palembang.
The recruitment for the Asian Games (Games Times) begins with online registration on 18 January 18 until March 5, 2018.

After the online registration, volunteer candidates must pass the psychology test through a discussion group and interview that will take place in March 2018. In May 2018, training will be held. The last stage is the specific training which will be conducted by each department in July 2018.
The volunteers will be divided into three categories, namely Protocol Assistant, NOC Assistant, and Liaison Officer, which will be allocated to 19 departments or functional areas, such as Venue, Medical and Doping Control, Media and Public Relations, Ceremonies, Ticketing, Catering and Transportation.
During the launch of the recruitment on September 18, 2017, the number of applicants reached 21,000 volunteers. "Up to the final stage, it was 1,574 people," Erick said.
The volunteers who have been selected in the previous stage will be on duty during the 2018 Asian Games test event on February 10. They must re-register and complete their data, such as the scan of the identity card and police record.
