TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has set schedule to question Doctor Bimanesh Sutarjo and Setya Novanto`s former Lawyer Fredrich Yunadi today on Friday, January 12.
Bimanesh Sutarjo was the doctor who worked at Medika Permata Hijau Hospital who attempted to obstruct the investigation of KPK investigators against Setya Novanto.
“Fredrich and Bimanesh allegedly conspired to make the suspect Setya Novanto be hospitalized with manipulated medical records,” said KPK Deputy Chairman Basaria Panjaitan on Wednesday, January 10.

Bimanesh graduated from Universitas Indonesia’s medical school in 1980 and continued his doctoral degree at the Bogor Agriculture University (IPB) specializing in molecular biology. He specializes in internal illnesses and is a consultant for kidney and hypertension at the Medika Permata Hijau Hospital.
His name was first mentioned when Setya Novanto was hospitalized following a road accident on November 16, 2017. According to KPK, Bimanesh and Fredrich violated Article 21 of Law No. 31/1999 on corruption eradication.

Tempo tried to confirm this to the Medika Permata Hijau hospital but according to the hospital’s receptionist, except the president director, other employees of the hospital are not permitted to provide any form of statements regarding the case.
