TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Indonesia reported that economic liquidity or the amount of money circulating in a broader sense (M2) in November grows by 9.3 percent year on year into Rp5,320 trillion, or slowing down by 10.6 percent compared to that in October this year.
The central bank also said that the slowdown in the circulation of money in November was caused by the contraction of financial operation done by the central government, the slowdown in the growth of credits, and the slowdown in the growth of the net foreign assets.
"The contraction of the financial operation of the central government is reflected in the obligation of Bank Indonesia and banks to the central government that grows from 9.8 percent (YoY) in October 2017 into 25.5 percent (YoY) in November 2017," he said.
In the meantime, credits distributed by banks at the end of November 2017 reaches Rp4,635 trillion, rising by 7.4 percent (YoY), lower than that in October 2017 rises by 8,1 percent (YoY).
In the meantime, net foreign assets post a slow growth from 18,1 percent (YoY) in October 2017 into 17.2 percent (YoY) in November.
