TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stated that he is not intimidated with the threat from businessmen association that will file a lawsuit if the government is unable to show evidence of prostitution practices in Alexis Hotel and Massage Center.
They compared it with the policy implemented in the term of former Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama office that always issued two letters of reprimand and then closed down.

"They have accepted the decision. I don’t know those who do not accept it. They (Alexis) have accepted it and I appreciate this," Anies said in Jakarta on Friday, Nov. 3.
Anies actually expressed his appreciation to Alexis management that accepted the closure and will not file a lawsuit against Jakarta Provincial administration. Responding to the threat in which 1,000 unemployed workers after Alexis closure, the governor said that it is not the responsibility of Jakarta administration.
In addition, Anies explained that Alexis management should have anticipated the worst possibility for their workers since their business license ended in August. He also stated that employment opportunities are widely available in the capital city and it is also facilitated by Jakarta Labor and Transmigration Agency.
