TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Internal Affairs Division of National Police (Propam) arrested five traffic police personnel for allegedly collecting illegal levies. The police personnel serving their duties at the Semanggi Toll Gate in South Jakarta.
The arrests were made on Tuesday evening, August 22. The arrested police personnel are Brig. DF, Brig. RF, 1st Brig. MT, 2nd Brig. AP, and Brig. HPS.

“The Internal Affairs Division found that they collected an illegal levy amounting from Muhammad Akmal Arief Aloes,” Jakarta Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono on today, August 24.
Also, the five police personnel allegedly launched an illegal operation and collect money from traffic violators. The National Police Internal Affairs Division seized Rp772,000 allegedly to be the illegal levy collected from the public.
The Internal Affairs Division also found meth and bong during a search in a car driven by Brig. DF and Brig. RF. They admitted that they consumed meth. Argo said that the police personnel is still under Internal Affairs' probe.
