State Palace Hands Out Bicycle Gifts on Independence Day Ceremony

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The State Palace gave bicycles for the guests of the 72nd Indonesian Independence Day ceremony.
This time, Vice President Jusuf Kalla had the honor to gift the bicycles to five guests who attended the ceremony with the best traditional outfit from various regions in Indonesia. The five guests wore outfits originating from the Arfak tribe of West Papua, Dayak tribe of Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Aceh, and Bengkulu.

President Jokowi also gave five bicycles to Indonesian State Officials who wore the best traditional outfit after the morning ceremony.
State Officials who received the bicycle gifts were Law and Human Rights Minister Yasona Laoly who represented the Nias region, Regional Representative Council (DPD) Chairman Oesman Sapta Odang who represented Minang, and Indonesian National Police Chief’s wife, Tri Suswati.
This event made this year’s Independence Day ceremony different from previous years.
