TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) this month begins to transfer Soekarno-Hatta Airport's international flights to Terminal 3 Ultimate (T3U). The transfers will be carried out in stages for airlines who are members of the Skyteam global alliance.
"Later, all international flights at Soekarno-Hatta Airport will fly from Terminal 3," Angkasa Pura II president director Muhammad Awaluddin said in his written statement Friday, July 14.

Awaluddin said that foreign airlines that have moved their operations to T3U include Saudi Arabian Airlines and Vietnam Airlines. Korea Airlines will make the transfer on July 17 and Xiamen Airlines on July 39.
Awaluddin is confident that Terminal 3 can improve the image of airlines, thus attracting more foreign tourists to visit Indonesia.

"We are optimistic that airlines will be interested in opening new international routes from and to Soekarno-Hatta Airport," he said.
With the addition of the Skytrain as well as train access between the airport and downtown Jakarta, he believes Soekarno-Hatta will soon be on the same level with world-class airports, and "can support the growth of Indonesian tourism".
