TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head Coach for Persib Bandung Djadjang Nurdjaman exempted the team`s latest addition, Michael Essien, from the training session. He received an exception to not participate in Today’s training session at Lodaya Football Field.
Djadjang views that the decision to exempt Essien is appropriate, considering that the Ghana-born player had just arrived in Indonesia. His flight had just landed in Jakarta on Monday evening, March 27, 2017.

Djadjang let the former Chelsea player to taking a rest since Essien would still need to continue his journey to Bandung the following day.
“He isn’t training today, he’s still tired. He’ll start his training tomorrow,” the head coach said.
Today’s training session was the first training the team had after they faced PSMS Medan in a friendly match yesterday. The team had just arrived on Monday and only received a single day off.
Persib still has two more trials scheduled before the blue team competes in Liga 1 on April 15, 2017. Following the team launching on April 2, they will face Barito Putra in Banjarmasin on April 5 and followed by a match in their hometown Bandung against Bali United on April 8, 2017.
