TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that there will be new suspects in the electronic ID card or e-KTP graft case. “There will be [new suspects],” said KPK Chairman Agus Rahardjo on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
Agus did not explain the details regarding identities of the new possible suspects other than current defendants of the graft case; former State Officials at the Ministry of Home Affairs Sugiharto and Irman. New suspects will be named after KPK holds an inquiry. “We’re still waiting for the initial inquiry.”
Agus claims that a large number of ‘actors’ are involved in the corruption case that caused the state to endure a Rp2.3 trillion loss. The names are already included in the suspects’ indictment that has been put to trial.
