TEMPO.CO, Denpasar - The number of foreign tourists from China to Bali was recorded at 741,741 people in the period of January – September 2016.
The number increased by 35.84 percent compared to that of the same period last year, which saw 546,034 Chinese tourists visiting the island.
"Tourists from China is the second biggest tourist after Australia. Tourists from Australia has always been the country with the biggest number of tourists coming to Australia so far,” said Head of Bali Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Adi Nugroho in Denpasar on Saturday.
Adi added that tourists from China constitutes 20.38 percent of the total foreign tourists coming to Bali.
