TEMPO.CO, Milan - AC Milan's helmsman Massimiliano Allegri had to take the rap after a humiliating defeat of 4-3 against Sassuolo yesterday. The surprising result caused the board to immediately terminate his contract.
The decision, however, had some prior clue, as the board had stated to put an end to Allegri's term by the end of the season. The defeat against the promoted club turned out to be the catalyst that sped up the event.
AC Milan’s official website wrote that the team will be temporarily handed to interim coach Mauro Tassotti. Seating at 11 in the standings, Milan desperately needs to fight its way to glory. Rumor has it that former striker Filippo Inzaghi, currently donning the position of Milan U-19 coach, will be next in charge.
