Setya Novanto Arrives in KPK Carrying Files; Meets Son

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Setya Novanto visited the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building this afternoon. The defendant of the alleged corruption practice in the electronic identity card (e-KTP) procurement was carrying what looked like files. 

Setya came wearing an orange prisoner's vest a at around 13:19 on Friday, December 22.

On the second story of the KPK building, Setya approached and hugged his son Rheza Herwindo inside the KPK media room. Rheza is Setya's son from his first wife, Luciana Lily Herliyanti.

It is still unknown why he came to the KPK building today. When asked, the KPK chief for Reporting and Publication Division Priharsa Nugraha said he didn’t know why Setya came.

"I have to check first," he said.

Meanwhile, Setya's son Reza was in the building because he was summoned as a witness for one of the e-KTP graft's suspects, Anang Sugiana Sudiharjo, the president director of Quadra Solution. Yesterday, Setya Novanto's daughter Dwina Michaella was also questioned as a witness for Anang.

Anang's company is one of the signatories of the State Printing of the Republic of Indonesia Consortium for the e-KTP project. Anang allegedly helped provide additional money for the legal aid of the Population and Civil Affairs's Directorate General as many as Rp2 billion.
