TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government predicted the return flow of 2017 Eid homecoming would peak starting from Wednesday, June 28. “The returning flow is predicted to occur tomorrow,” as quoted from Public Works and Public Housing Ministry’s website Tuesday, June 27.
The vacation flow has also entered its second day.
The government called on the people to pay extra attention to the route of Cicalengka-Nagreg-Limbangan-Malangbong-Ciawi, Wilangan, Salatiga-Boyolali, and Ciawi, Puncak.

Earlier, state toll road operator PT Jasa Marga predicted the peak of this year’s returning flow at Cikarang Utama toll gate would occur four days after Eid day or on Friday, June 30. AVP Corporate Communication of Jasa Marga Dwimawan Heru said the total of traffic flow has reached 110,000 vehicles or rose about 40.6 percent from normal traffic of 78,000 vehicles.
Dwimawan said Jasa Marga called on the road users to manage their return trips to Jakarta in order to not centered on the weekend. “For example, to return [to Jakarta] on June 29," he said.

To anticipate the traffic congestion at Jakarta - Cikampek toll road and Cikarang Utama toll, Jasa Marga will implement the open/close system for traffic heading to rest areas and the contraflow system at the 65th kilometer, the 50th and the 28-22nd kilometers traffic heading to Jakarta as instructed by the police.
The traffic heading to Cikarang Utama toll gate will also be diverted to Cikarang Barat 2 toll gate and re-enter through Cikarang Barat 4 toll gate.
