TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ki Agus Muhammad Choiri, the lawyer of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) leader, said his client will attend West Java Police Headquarters for questioning over an alleged insult to the state symbol and defamation today, February 13, 2017.
“We will comply with West Java Police summons, Insha Allah,” Choiri said via a text message on Saturday, as quoted by Antara.
Meanwhile, West Java Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Yusri Yunus has confirmed it.
Yusri expects Rizieq to fulfill his promise to show up for questioning. He has asked Rizieq not to bring his followers to the police station.
Earlier, Rizieq failed to attend the police station for questioning on Tuesday, February 7, claiming he was ill. He also did not comply with second police summons to show up for questioning on Friday, February 10.
