TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Transjakarta is about to launch 118 new bus units on Wednesday (10/19). The buses are taken from procurement for 2016 and 2017. It will be used to maximize the existing transport service
“All bus seats are facing the front,” said Budi Kaliwono, PT Transjakarta Director, Tuesday (10/18).
According to him, there are 100 single buses, four double-decker tour buses, three lower deck buses, eight maxi buses, five Transjakarta care buses, one medium bus, and five minibuses.
“Three lower deck buses are prototype model to replace regular bus route,” he added.
Later on, PT Transjakarta will also buy 300 lower deck buses.
“We buy 150 buses from Scania and 150 from Mercedes,” he continued.
