JCI Will Remain Positive, Rupiah May Keep Upward Trend

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The stock price index (JCI) will move positively and maintain the upward trend, analysts said Monday, October 12.
Head of Research NH Korindo Securities Indonesia Reza Priyambada predicts the index to move within the support range between 4535 and 4565 and resistance range between 4635 and 4657.
Priyambada said in the research on Monday, that the sentiment is still quite positive, the rate of JCI will try to stay afloat in the green zone.
"Nonetheless, remain aware of the potential for reversal if the purchasing volume began to decrease. The 4346-4381 gap is still an obstacle that is prone to profit taking," he said.
The rupiah appreciated 8.43 percent or Rp1,234 per US dollar over the past week to Rp13,412 per US dolar. The rupiah exchange rate soared highest in Asia at the close of trading last weekend.
Based on Bloomberg data, at the weekend spot market trading, on Friday, October 9, the rupiah closed up 3.42 percent or 475 points to Rp13,412 per US dollar.
Throughout the end of trading last week, the exchange rate moved at Rp13,281 per US dollar level and hit the weakest point at Rp13,774 per US dollar. The rupiah rose the highest in Asia, followed by the strengthening of the ringgit Malaysia at 2.56 percent.
