TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Presidential Staffs Teten Masduki, said that President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has no plan to revise regulations related to the 35,000 megawatt power plant project. Jokowi said that he wants the project continue within the next five years.

"The President sees that electricity is an essential part in re-establishing industry in Java, Borneo, Sumatra, and Sulawesi, industrialization target regions," said Teten on Thursday September 10, 2015.

However, Teten admitted that many doubted the project. He added that similar project that was intiated during Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's office term had only managed to achieve 6,000 MW out of the targeted 10,000 MW.

Nevertheless, Jokowi remains optimistic that the project will be finished before his term ends.
