TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Member of the Legal Team of the Indonesian Professional Footabller Association (APPI), Jannes Silitonga, appreciated the National Commission for Human Rights (Komnas HAM) for stepping up to mediate the clash between Youth and Sports Ministry and the Football Association (PSSI), reports said Wednesday, July 29, 2015.
Jannes said that Komnas HAM might be able to mediate the conflict between the two authorities. "I hope that Komnas HAM, the ministry, and PSSI can immediately come up with solution," he said on Wednesday.
Jannes said that Komnas HAM can help ease the tense between the two opposing parties. He added that if a peaceful resolution is to be agreed, the two parties can start discussing future prospect in terms of competition and unpaid salary.
Previously, a number of football elements such as coaches and referees gathered in Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, reporting the clash between the ministry and PSSI. Komnas HAM responded and plan to mediate the two parties as it poses threat to public economy.
