TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is preparing a number of strategies to spur lending to the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector.
The step is being design in a bid to help the small businesses survive the economic slowdown, considering they have less resistance to market declines compared to larger enterprises.
"We will facilitate MSMEs to hold meetings with venture capitals, finance companies, and banks," OJK chief Mulliaman Hadad said last week as Bisnis Indonesia reported.
Hadad also said that the push for MSME growth is also aimed at creating more job opportunities.
Some components to focus on in boosting the MSME sector, Hadad said, include interest rates, taxes, and licensing.
