TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo has been advised to reshuffle his cabinet so as to prevent problems from being accumulated in later days.

Although not specifically mentioning ministers that must be reshuffled, Chairman of the Indonesian Entrepreneurs Association Haryadi Sukamdani highlighted the performance of the economic ministers in the cabinet.

"We must not waste our time. The President must make a decision. Indonesia is already left behind,” said Haryadi in Jakarta on Saturday.

Haryadi also said that the Working Cabinet had been working for 6 months and according to him, it is enough to do some evaluation.

"In private companies, we only need two months to evaluate whether a manager is up to his quality or becomes a burden instead. The one that becomes a burden might be fired,” he said.

He also said that Indonesia’s economic growth is in trouble although it is admitted that the global economic situation also affects Indonesia’s economy. He also considered that a number of ministers have bad performances because their policies, in fact, hinder economic growth.

"Investors have begun abandoning Indonesia. Global investors have begun turning their attention to India,” Haryadi said.

However, he did not mention ministers deemed to have failed. Yet, he highlighted the performance of ministers that result in the weakening of the business world, among others Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Minister of Agriculture, and Ministry of Finance.

"Business climate is getting worse. Like it or not, we have to admit that it is influenced by the government’s policies,” he concluded.
