TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) conducted a soft launch for its one-stop integrated service (PTSP) on January 15, 2015. BKPM head Franky Sibarani said the service would be ready to kick off on January 26, 2015.
“All PTSP supporting units are ready,” Franky told a press conference at BKPM office on Thursday, January 15, 2015.
The soft launch was attended by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Sudirman Said, Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya, Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro and Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister Ferry Mursyidan Baldan.
The central PTSP is supported by 19 ministries and institutions that assign a total of 66 liaison officers (LO) at the BKPM. The LOs are assigned to deal with permit applications at front and back offices.
According to Franky, the BKPM and the ministries are ready to manage end-to-end permit applications in various business sectors, such as electricity, industry, tourism and agriculture.
The PTSP is a realization of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s vision to boost investment by addressing issues pertaining to business license processing. Jokowi is slated to inaugurate the central PTSP at BKPM building in late January.
