TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - One of the key men to Chelsea’s bright season Eden Hazard is close to signing a new five-year contract that worth around 200,000 pounds-per-week, Daily Telegraph reported. Rumors has been linking the 23-years-old to Paris Saint-Germain move, but Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho is confident the Belgian would stay.
"It will be done soon, but I'm not worried because they are almost there," Mourinho last week as quoted by ESPN FC.
ESPN reported that the negotiation for Hazard’s contract extension has been on the table for the last few months. It has been stepped up in recent days and the Belgian is now close to committing his long-term future to Chelsea and becoming the highest-paid player in the Stamford Bridge.
Hazard joined Chelsea in 2012 and he has contributed nine goals this season in different competitions.
