TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Edward Snowden revealed another NSA spying activities. This time, Snowden said that NSA and Britain's GCHQ were using Angry Birds game application to collect personal data.
Snowden explained that an app called "leaky app" is incorporated to the game, allowing users to share pictures and locations in several apps, such as maps, games, and social networkings on smartphones. From there, NSA and GCHQ allegedly collect users' personal data.
However, the game developer Rovio, denied the allegations. The company explained that the rights of access and information-sharing in their game are only used to update game and give relevant advertising to consumers.
in addition to Angry Bird, Google Maps is also allegedly used to collect data. However, NSA denied this allegation and said that their activities are limited to "communications that we are authorized by law to collect for valid foreign intelligence and counterintelligence purposes."
