10 Asia's Leading Airlines in 2024 According to Skytrax

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - SKYTRAX's World Airline Awards named Singapore Airlines as Asia's Best Airline for 2024. More than 325 of the aviation industry's top executives gathered at the conference, held on June 24, at the Fairmont Windsor Park in England.

The awards were determined based on a comprehensive assessment system through a broad spectrum of criteria, covering 500 to 800 different factors. Airlines are evaluated by their airport amenities, cabin comfort, staff hospitality, and overall customer experience. 

Here are the best airlines in Asia in 2024 according to Skytrax's World Airline Awards. 

1. Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines is ranked first as the best airline in Asia for its outstanding customer service. The airline constantly amazes passengers with its exceptional hospitality and world-class in-flight delicacies. Joining forces with its budget-friendly subsidiary, Scoot, the airline provides a range of options tailored to cater to the passengers' varied preferences.  

2. ANA All Nippon Airways

Japan’s top airline, ANA, won second place in the best airline in Asia with its strong commitment to providing quality as well as innovation. ANA consistently proposes remarkable service while connecting travelers to 82 international destinations and 118 domestic arrivals. 

3. Cathay Pacific Airways

Known for its unwavering dedication to excellence, Cathay Pacific is a founding member of the Oneworld alliance as well as the third-best airline in Asia. 4. Japan Airlines

6. Korean Air

Before ranking as the sixth place of best airline in Asia, Korean Air started as a relatively small airline, boarding only eight planes. Today, it shows great development in the aviation markets through changes and investments with a large-scale improvement in customer services. 

7. Hainan Airlines 

Hainan Airlines has been honored as one of the best airlines in Asia for 13 consecutive years since 2011. The airline is known for its excellent service and has received positive reviews from most of its passengers.

8. Vistara

The prominent goal of Vistara is to redefine air travel in India, offering a seamless flying experience. Vistara connects 50 destinations inside and outside of India with over 300 flights a day. It has boarded more than 65 million customers since its first operation. 

9. Bangkok Airways

Bangkok Airways has been awarded by a number of categories in the aviation industry, solidifying its strength as one of the best airlines in Asia. 

10. Air Asia

As its notable tagline ‘Now Everyone Can Fly’, Air Asia has boarded more than 800 passengers to over 130 destinations across the globe. The airline is best known for its inclusivity in prices, earning it the last position in the best airlines in Asia award.
