BMKG: Drizzles to Hit Parts of Greater Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency or BMKG forecasts that Jakarta will have a partly cloudy morning today, Thursday, May 30, 2024. The weather will remain cloudy throughout the day, with some chance of drizzles in South Jakarta.
In the rest of Greater Jakarta (Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi), the weather forecast also notes a partly cloudy day with the chance of drizzles in some areas, namely Cibinong, Bogor City, and Depok.
BMKG forecasts that the three regions will still rain in the evening, while others vary. Bekasi will remain partly cloudy while Tangerang City, Serpong-South Tangerang City, and Tigaraksa-Tangerang Regency will be cloudy.
"Beware of the short and local rain potential with lightning and strong winds between noon and late evening in some areas of Bogor Regency and City, Depok City," said the BMKG early warning.
The Greater Tangerang area records the highest air temperature today, reaching as high as 34 degrees Celsius with an air humidity level of up to 90 percent. West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta also recorded a maximum air temperature of 33 degrees Celsius today, with the air humidity up to 95 percent.
The maximum air temperature in some other areas is 31 degrees Celsius in Central Jakarta and North Jakarta, and 30 degrees Celsius for the Seribu Islands. Meanwhile, BMKG said today's estimated maximum air temperature for Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi is 32 degrees.
