Flights from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Bali, Surabaya, Medan and Singapore in High Demand for Vesak Day Vacation

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Soekarno-Hatta Airport recorded that flight destinations to Bali, Surabaya, Medan, and Singapore were in high demand during the long holiday of Vesak Day.
Senior Manager of Branch Communications & Legal Bandara Soekarno-Hatta M. Holik Muardi, said that based on flight percentage on May 22, there was a total of 980 flights with 493 departures and 487 arrivals.
"Flights to four routes namely Medan, Surabaya, Denpasar, and Singapore increase during the long holiday," Holik told Tempo on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
On Wednesday, May 22, a day before the Vesak Day on May 23, the total of passengers was 148,040 orang. The number included 74.949 pax on departure and 73.091 pax on arrival.
The following are the flights and number of passengers at Terminal 1, 2, and 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport as of May 22, 2024.
1. Terminal 1
Total Flight = 175 flights (18 percent)
Total Pax = 26.651 pax (18 percent)
2. Terminal 2
Total Flight = 291 flights (30 percent)
Total Pax = 39.861 pax (27 percent)
3. Terminal 3
Total Flight = 502 flights (51 percent)
Total Pax =81.528 pax (55 percent)
4. Cargo Flight
Total Flight = 12 flights (1 percent).
