TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State Apparatus or Civil Servant (ASN) Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas said that non-civil servants and college lecturers will be accorded priority in the 2024 ASN candidate recruitment.
"There are several important points. First, the formation is part of the efforts to manage non-ASNs and workers who receive honorarium at all work units of the Education, Culture, Technology, and Research Ministry and education units in regions," he informed on Monday, April 01, 2024.
The ministry has submitted a proposal for the recruitment of 40,541 ASN candidates within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, comprising 15,462 ASN candidates and 25,079 government employees under contract.
He said that the second important point is the fulfillment of human resource needs in the university environment, including lecturers.
He noted that over the past few years, the recruitment of lecturers at state universities has been very limited, while the number of students has continued to increase.
"Following the President's directive, the formation for lecturers this year is expected to be optimal. We have discussed in detail with (Education, Culture, Technology, and Research Minister) Nadiem Makarim about the suggestions so that the lecturer formation can be optimal," he said.
Third, the recruitment is meant to fulfill ASN placement in Nusantara in East Kalimantan.
Minister Anas added that this year's ASN candidate recruitment policy is to focus on basic services, namely through the recruitment of teachers and health workers, and solve the problems of non-ASN positions in government agencies.
In addition, the policy aims to recruit new talents or fresh graduates through the CPNS or the State Apparatus Candidate Exam selection and reduce the positions that will be affected by digital transformation.
