TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Soekarno-Hatta International Airport distributes a total of 38,400 boxes of free takjil during Ramadan for fasting passengers in Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
Senior Manager of Branch Communication & Legal, M. Holik Muardi said, the takjil (light snacks eaten by fasting people, usually during Ramadan) provided included a wide selection of traditional foods and drinks, such as dates, compote, and mineral water. "It is distributed free of charge to passengers who are waiting for flights or have just arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport," he said in a written statement on Friday.
Holik said the distribution of free takjil is a tradition carried out by Soekarno-Hatta Airport during the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative is part of the airport's efforts to create a friendly and supportive environment for fasting passengers.
"During the month of Ramadan, the takjil is distributed by officers at various strategic points in the three terminals, including in the waiting area, departure hall, and arrival hall every day," Holik said.
"We want to bring a smile to the face of every passenger who is fasting during Ramadan. We are delighted to be able to support passengers who are fasting by providing free takjil at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, "said Holik.
Holik hopes that this tradition can provide extra comfort for those who are traveling during Ramadan.
