Govt Ensures No Price Hike on Pertamina's Fuel Oil

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi ensured that there would be no price hike for fuel oil (BBM) from Pertamina. Jokowi led a limited meeting with several ministers on BBM today at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base on Monday in Jakarta before heading to Australia.
There is currently no information on what agenda was discussed and who participated in the meeting. Before his departure, Jokowi told reported that “BBM prices will not increase. Pertamina will give more information on that”.
BBM prices in several private gas stations owned by Shell and BP-AKR rose simultaneously on Friday. According to Shell’s website on Friday, Shell Super's price increased by Rp990 per liter to Rp14,530 per liter.
The RON 92 fuel oil or equal to Pertamax by Pertamina was set to Rp13,540 per liter the previous month. Shell V-Power prices also increased by Rp990 to Rp15,370 per liter. Shell V-Power prices also hiked up by Rp870 per liter to Rp16,140 per liter.
According to BP’s official website, BP 92’s prices have reached Rp13,990 per liter from the previous Rp 13,400 per liter as of February. BP Ultimate prices also increased from Rp14,380 to Rp15,370. In addition, BP Diesel rose up Rp800 to Rp15,610 per liter.
