TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas postponed the schedule for transferring the State Civil Apparatus or the Civil Servants (ASN) to the Capital City Nusantara (IKN), North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan until September 2024.

"On the latest direction from the Minister of State Secretary (Minister of State Secretary Pratikno), coordination with the PANRB Ministry, inshallah (God's willing), before October, around September," said Anas when met after a cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday, February 26, 2024.

He explained that the residences at IKN would be used to prepare for the 79th Independence Day (HUT) ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), which falls on Saturday, August 17, 2024. The available residences are also not according to the initial plan, so they cannot be used by the ASN.

Even so, said Anas, according to the initial plan, the government wanted to move 6,000 ASN to IKN in the first wave. “Approximately 6,000. We will adjust this later with the completion of the towers that have been completed, of course they will develop again," he said.

The plan is that the ASN that will be transferred will come from various ministries and institutions, including the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) which are ready to move. The PANRB Ministry has also determined that echelon 1 and echelon 2 officials in each ministry will be transferred to IKN.

Progress on ASN Flats in IKN Still 30 Percent

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force (Satgas) stated that the construction of 12 towers of ASN flats (Rusun) and defense and security institutions (Hankam) had reached more than 30 percent.

"It's already above 30 percent," said Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force Danis Sumadilaga in Jakarta, Friday, February 16, 2024, as quoted by Antara.

Danis explained that as many as 12 ASN Flats towers, such as ASN 1 Flats, had reached 30.8 percent construction, ASN 4 Flats at 34 percent, as well as flats for the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) also at 30 percent.

He claimed that the construction of 12 ASN flat towers in IKN was still progressing according to target. "It's still on target, namely June-July, because in July the transfer of ASN to IKN begins," he said.
