Jokowi Delivers Social Assistance in NTT Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi visited the warehousing complex in Danga, Nagekeo Regency, NTT Province on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023. Jokowi held a dialogue with residents and delivered social assistance in the form of the government's rice reserve (CBP).
In his dialogue, Jokowi mentioned that social assistance was delivered to the newly registered beneficiary households (KPM). As set out before, the government will continue to distribute similar aid until March 2024.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the [aid] is given to the additional beneficiaries, the regular KPMs will receive more in January, February, and March," he said, as quoted from a statement released by the Presidential Press Bureau.
During the occasion, Jokowi also mentioned that residents who have yet to receive the Rp400,000 El Nino aid will do so this month.
After delivering the social assistance, the president proceeded to inspect the storage facility to ensure the availability of rice stock in Nagekeo Regency.
Earlier today, Jokowi arrived at Danga Market at around 10:00 a.m. local time and was welcomed by locals. He inspected food prices in the market and delivered food aids for the residents and local sellers.
President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, the head of National Food Agency Arief Prasetyo Adi, Acting Governor of NTT Ayodhia Kalake, and Nagekeo Regent Johanes Don Bosco Do.
