TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Deputy of Financing and Investment of the IKN Authority Agung Wicaksono explained the government's plan to conduct the third phase groundbreaking for projects in the new state capital, scheduled on December 2023.
"I am allowed to say that there will be three categories for the third phase groundbreaking [in IKN]," he said in a virtual press conference on Monday, November 20.
These categories are the green area, where green forest city will be developed. Second, the ecosystem to develop working, residential, and playground areas. Third, the development of various governmental agencies such as the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC), the Social Health Insurance Administration Body, and a hospital for the Health Ministry.
According to the document presented by Agung, the investors involved in these projects are Jambuluwuk Hotel and Resort, Indogrosir, The Pakubuwono Development, Balikpapan Super Block, Grand Lucky Superstore, and BSH. The other investors are the Arsari Djojohadikusumo Foundation for the orangutan conservatory island and the Nusantara Green Belt, the crowdsourcing for the reforestation project.
For this phase of groundbreaking, the investment value is estimated to amount to Tp10 trillion. "Just get ready [for the groundbreaking]. This is a tentative schedule, based on President [Joko Widodo] availability," Agung said.
Earlier, the first and second phases of groundbreaking were conducted on September 21 and November 1-2, 2023, respectively, led directly by President Joko Widodo.
The first phase of the groundbreaking had an investment value amounting to Rp23 trillion, while the second phase of the groundbreaking amounted to Rp12.5 trillion with bigger development sectors. This development included a hospital, an international school, and other strategic infrastructures such as an airport.
