15 November 2023 16:00 WIB

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe much-anticipated Coldplay concert in Jakarta is set to take place tonight, November 15, at the Gelora Bung Karno or GBK Stadium, Senayan. The promoter PK Entertainment released an appeal to the audience related to the show’s sustainability concept.

On its Instagram Story today, the British band also posted a poster of Green Update, calling on fans to save the environment. This also includes things that need to be prepared and done by the audience in order to not pollute the environment.

Green Update

“Public transportation nearby; Accessible by foot; Bike racks on site; Refillable bottles (no metal, no glass,” the poster read.

PK Entertainment also announced this appeal on its official Instagram account. Coldplay's Music of the Spheres World Tour in Jakarta, in partnership with eco-friendly NGO Waste4Change, has implemented sustainability initiatives that prioritize three things.

Reduce: We have committed to minimizing and replacing single-use plastic.

Recycle: Recycling bins are available within the concert area. Please sort your waste according to the type of waste.

Hydration Stations: Over 30 hydration stations are available for fans to refill water at the venue. Please bring your own reusable transparent plastic bottle - no metal and glass tumbler allowed.

To encourage the use of public transportation for carbon reduction, the promoter released a guide to the GBK Stadium by TransJakarta and MRT Jakarta. The MRT service hours were also extended until 1:10 a.m.

Gates for Coldplay's first concert in Indonesia will open at 5 p.m. Indonesian singer Rahmania Astrini will perform as a special guest.
