TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the National Police Traffic Corps Inspector General Pol. Aan Suhanan readies his personnel to guard VVIPs and VIPs ahead of the 10th World Water Forum Summit (WWF Summit) on May 18-25 in Bali.
Aan said that the personnel guarding the VVIPs and VIPs would use electric vehicles before they handed over the VVIPs and VIPs to the Presidential Security Force or Paspampres.
"We are training the personnel to familiarize themselves with the vehicles they’re going to drive since they are battery-based vehicles," he said on Monday.
Later, all guard personnel in the Pamwal Rolakir task force will be controlled through the Tragia - Nusa Dua Command Post and Post 91 of the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). The supervision will use several applications, such as Control, Coordination, Communication, and Information or K3I.
"So, we will utilize several applications, one of which is K3I, where we can monitor all the members’ travel and activities from the post," he said.
He explained that the CCTV at the Tragia Command Post - Nusa Dua was already connected to CCTVs spread throughout Bali and would focus on the roads and locations passed by the WWF Summit delegates. In addition, the CCTV is also integrated with the smart island feature to observe the personnel activities on the ground, Aan said.
Aan explained that the police will implement one way during the WWF Summit. However, he claims to have prepared several alternative routes for Bali residents so their daily activities remain undisturbed. “This is situational,” he said.
