The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) announced that FIFA allows supporters to raise the Palestinian flag in stadiums during the U-17 World Cup 2023. PSSI chairman, Erick Thohir, said he had coordinated the matter with the world football's governing body.

Erick said FIFA had no problem with the flying of the Palestinian flag as a symbol of support for humanity and protection of human rights.

2. First-Time, Young Voters Will Dominate General Elections in Jakarta, Says KPU

The General Elections Commission (KPU) said that first-time and young voters will dominate the 2024 general elections in Jakarta.

The information was relayed in a talk show called "Youth for the Nation: Abstaining is Uncool" by KPU Jakarta at Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia on Wednesday. According to the press release, around 200 college students attended the discussion.

Climate Central, a nonprofit science research group, released its latest report stating that the last 12 months on Earth, from November 2022 to October 2023, were the hottest that has ever been recorded. 

The global average temperature during this period was 1.3 degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial era, which is dangerously close to the limit of 1.5 degrees Celsius set by the Paris Agreement.
