Hot Weather to Sweep Across Jakarta, Depok Reaching 36 Degrees Celsius

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The entire Jakarta area is expected to have hot weather with little cloud cover today, September 13. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said in its weather forecast that the capital city will see partly sunny skies during the day before giving way to clear skies in the evening.

The agency predicted that West, South, and East Jakarta will be partly cloudy this afternoon. Meanwhile, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands will have a sweltering afternoon.

The city’s air temperature is expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius in West Jakarta and 35 degrees Celsius in South and East Jakarta.

The agency also predicted scorching hot weather in Tangerang City, South Tangerang (Serpong), and Tangerang Regency (Tigaraksa) in the morning with no clouds.

The weather will likely be partly cloudy for the rest of the day. The air temperature in these three areas was possibly between 24 and 34 degrees Celsius.

For the areas of Bekasi, Cibinong (Bogor Regency), Depok, and Bogor City, today's weather will be mostly partly sunny, except for Bogor City where cloudy skies are predicted in the afternoon.

Depok The air temperature is expected to hit 36 degrees Celsius in Depok, 35 degrees in Cibinong, 34 degrees in Bekasi, and 32 degrees in Bogor City. BMKG reported that there is no chance of rain in all of the above areas today.
