Lionel Messi Officially Introduced by Inter Miami, Wearing Jersey Number 10

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Major League Soccer (MLS) club, Inter Miami, has finally officially introduced Lionel Messi, Saturday local time, July 15, 2023.
In a video uploaded by Inter Miami, Lionel Messi can be seen wearing the club's pink jersey using the jersey number 10 which is his mainstay.
Lionel Messi was reportedly tied to a contract for two and a half years by Inter Miami in an agreement that had happened since last month, or June 2023. He decided to join Inter Miami after his contract at PSG expired, amid interest from the Saudi Arabian club to sign him.
Messi stated that he is excited about his new adventure at Inter Miami. "I'm really excited to start the next step in my career with Inter Miami and in the United States," said the Argentina star.

"This is an extraordinary opportunity and together we will continue to build on this beautiful project," he continued.
As part of his contract with Inter Miami, the 36-year-old will reportedly receive a compensation package that includes a share of Apple TV revenue generated from the MLS Season Pass, as well as a share of Adidas profits related to his arrival to MLS.
Lionel Messi is also looking forward to helping Inter Miami rise in the United States soccer competition.
"The idea is to work together to achieve the goals we set, and I'm so excited to start helping here in my new home," he said.
The arrival of Lionel Messi to David Beckham's club was greeted with fanfare, and compared to Pele's transfer to the New York Cosmos in 1975, as the biggest in the history of football in the North American region.
Now Messi's career with Inter Miami with the number 10 shirt which is his mainstay will begin soon.
Messi first wore number 10 in the 2008-2009 season, with Barcelona and the Argentina national team, as well as at PSG, even though he used number 30.
Messi previously wore numbers 30 and 19 with the Barcelona senior team, before using number 10 which has become his trademark to date.
Messi could make his debut with Inter Miami in the match against Cruz Azul in the League Cup, Saturday, July 22, 2023 WIB (Western Indonesia Time).
