AHY Visits Anies Baswedan, PKS Official on Eid Al-Fitr

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chairman of the Democrat Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, also known as AHY, visited Anies Baswedan at his private residence on Jalan Lebak Bulus II Dalam, Cilandak, South Jakarta on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

During his visit, AHY was accompanied by his wife Annisa Pohan, and his daughter Aira, and was welcomed by Anies Baswedan. AHU said that visiting friends and relatives are some of the moments he had much anticipated during the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr.

"Visiting is part of our tradition and the diversity of our nation's culture, which we need to maintain. It strengthens togetherness and solidarity among youth of the nation," AHY said in his statement on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

In addition to visiting Anies, AHY also visited the residence of the Chief of the Syuro Council of the Prosperity Justice Party (PKS) Habib Salem Segaf Al-Jufri. In the meeting, AHY was accompanied by Secretary General of the Democrat Party Central Executive Council Teuku Rifky.

However, the meeting was only attended by PKS and Democrat Party high officials. There were no officials from the National Democrat (NasDem) Party.

Head of the Strategic Communication and Spokesman Coordinator Agency of the Democrat Party Herzaky Mahendra Putra said that the meeting was unplanned and was a coincidence. "It just happened to be at the same time with our friends from PKS who were present there," Herzaky said.
