TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian outdoors producer company PT Eigerindo Multi Produk, owner of the brand Eiger, expressed optimism in facing the year 2023, which many predict will bring economic recession. Eiger is also planning to open a store in Swiss this year after participating in the 2023 World Economy Forum (WEI) at Davos, which is scheduled to take place next week.
“Many are talking about whether there would be a recession in 2023. We also have plenty of resources in Indonesia. We also have nearly 300 employees and we will see if the government has made the right decision,” said Eiger Marketing Manager Riadi Suwarnoon Tuesday, December 10, 2023.
Riadi acknowledged that the biggest challenge faced by businesses is the economic uncertainty caused by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, inflation, and the conflict between Ukraine and Russia that has affected the global supply chain.
"These challenges continue to exist, but we are optimistic about facing and surviving 2023, and even exceeding what we have now," said Riadi.
Riadi elaborated that Eiger is currently preparing to participate in the 2023 WEF at Davos, which will be held from January 16 to January 20, 2023, which will be used as a momentum to introduce its outdoor adventure products to the Swiss market before the actual store launch in March this year.
