In the uploaded image, it was explained that the temporary closure of the newly-opened park, which is located on Jalan Tebet Raya Timur, was for the purpose of the site maintenance and facility repairs until the end of June 2022.
“Thank you for the enthusiasm for these two months. For common convenience, Tebet Eco Park will be closed until the end of June,” said the agency on its Instagram @tamanhutandki on Tuesday.
On its page, the agency suggested the public visit other beautiful parks across the capital while waiting for the reopening of Tebet Eco Park. Detailed information about other parks and their location can be accessed on the official website of the agency.
Previously, a Tebet resident named Ricky Siahaan via his Instagram account @rickysiahaan voiced complaints about the public crowds at Tebet Eco Park which caused adverse impacts on the surrounding area.
Ricky outlined three impacts of the overcrowding of visitors in the green open spaces which was inaugurated by Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan on April 23, 2022. They were the emergence of illegal parking on the road, street vendors (PKL), and scattered garbage.
