TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian actor Iko Uwais was reportedly under police investigation for alleged assault. The report was made at the Bekasi Metro Police with the number LP/B/1737/VI/2022/SPKT.
The Bekasi Metro Police Chief Senior Commissioner Hengki confirmed the report.
“Yes, it is true. We have received the report,” said Hengki in his statement on Monday, June 13, 2022.
Head of the Bekasi Metro Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit Commissioner Ivan Adhitira added that the report was received on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
However, he was tight-lipped when asked about the details of the case of the action film star. The report, Ivan added, was still being followed up.
“The report is about abuse. We have received it yesterday,” said Ivan on Monday.
The report stated that Iko, who starred in many martial arts films both Indonesian and foreign ones, was reported by a person identified as R. It was noted that the celebrity came to the victim’s residence and had a debate which led to abuse.
Iko Uwais allegedly beat R who then suffered bruises on his face, right arm, and back.
