TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia today recorded that 84,834 more people have received booster vaccines. To date, 18,155,763 people in Indonesia have gotten their third vaccine jabs.
Earlier, President Joko Widodo or Jokowi said that the booster vaccine is one of the requirements for the community to go on the annual Eid homecoming, known locally as going home or mudik.
Jokowi also said that Muslims are allowed to do their tarawih prayers in mosques.
In 2020 and 2021, the government urged people to do their Ramadan prayers at home, as Covid-19 infection rates were high. For this year, there has been a slope of infections.
However, Jokowi forbade government officials and employees from breaking the fast together and open house activities.
