TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the government is allocating an expenditure budget of Rp2,714.2 trillion in the 2022 State Budget.
"The central government expenditure allocation is Rp1,944 trillion, while regional government expenditure is Rp769.6 trillion," Sri Mulyani said after a plenary cabinet meeting on the 2022 State Budget held at the Presidential Office in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 17.
President Joko Widodo, Sri said, has instructed all ministries and state institutions to make preparations to start spending early in 2022. The president will submit the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) at the end of this month.
Sri said that Jokowi will ask ministries and agencies to reserve at least five percent of their respective budget ceilings. This is to anticipate possible changes in budget policies due to uncertainties related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the 2022 State Budget Draft, the government sets an economic growth in the range of 5.0 to 5.5 percent target, higher than 2021's outlook of 3.7 to 4.5 percent.
