TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Attorney General's Office or AGO confiscated assets belonging to Benny Tjokrosaputro, one of the suspects in the alleged corruption case of PT Asabri. The assets confiscated were plots of lands; 566 of them.
Febrie Adriansyah, the AGO's director of investigations at the young attorney general for special crimes, said that the 566 plots of land are located in Maja, Lebak Regency.
"The [total] size is 194 hectares. Owned by Bentjok (Benny Tjokrosaputro)," Febrie told Tempo in Jakarta last night, February 8.
Bentjok a.k.a. Benny Tjokrosaputro is one of the eight suspects in the Asabri case. He made a deal with Adam Damiri, former president director of Asabri, to manage Asabri's finances.
Adam and Benny Tjokro invested Asabri's funds in stocks and mutual funds. "The agreement was also made together with suspect LP (president director of PT Prima Network) and benefited [Benny] and affiliated parties," Febrie said.
