TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the North Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Department, Putut Widya Martata, on Monday said 208 green open space (RTH) will temporarily be closed during the Christmas and New Year holidays on December 25, 31, and January 1.
“The temporary closures include TMB parks, urban forests, and RPTRA,” wrote Martata in a statement on Monday, December 21.
This comes alongside other closures of popular destinations such as the Ancol Dreamland Park which adheres to the Governor’s Instruction No.64/2020 in the city’s attempt to prevent worsening the spread of Covid-19.
“We hope members of the public would understand this decision and avoid locations prone to generating crowds that are very risky,” said the Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Department Head.
